Silicone elastomer coatings are well known for their excellent chemical resistance and resistance to weathering. Silprocoat room temperature vulcanizing silicone rubber coating for metal surfaces performs because of its water repellency and excellent adhesion to metal surfaces without primers and with primers. Because the coating is highly hydrophobic, corrosive elements cannot penetrate through the barrier of the silicone coating to the metal surface.
